Qwen Open Platform Launches, Allowing Partners and Developers to Build AI Agents
Qwen open platform went live on Aug 10, enabling third parties to create AI agents for services on mobile, PC, and AI glasses. Meidi joined as exclusive home appliance partner via A2A protocol.
Through the open platform, third parties can create AI agents that operate as independent dialogue spaces within the Qwen app, providing users with a full service flow from consultation and recommendation to fulfillment. Users can access these services by mentioning the relevant service or tapping the circular badge in the upper right corner of the app.
On August 10, Midea also joined as the exclusive home appliance partner, connecting to the Qwen app through the A2A (Agent-to-Agent) protocol. After users bind Midea's XiaoMei AI Agent, they can access one-stop services in the Qwen app, including product consultation, home environment monitoring, device energy consumption queries, and consumables and maintenance management.
Earlier, Midea and Alibaba signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build whole-home intelligence, focusing on smart home AI brain, IoT and lifestyle service ecosystem integration, and hit hardware. Going forward, the two sides plan to deepen cooperation in AI-enabled home appliances, link Alibaba ecosystem services, and integrate Taobao Flash Purchase, Hema, and AutoNavi scenarios to deliver a full-chain smart living experience.
