RayNeo iO Smart Glasses Top Sales on JD, Tmall and Douyin After Debut
RayNeo iO smart glasses topped sales on JD, Tmall and Douyin at debut; 34g frame, proactive AI, price from 1,996 yuan.
The iO weighs 34 grams and uses a classic crown-style frame with a see-through waveguide display. It supports prescription lenses up to 1,200 degrees, a design meant to bring the wearing experience closer to ordinary glasses and lower the barrier to everyday use.
The glasses are built around all-day proactive AI, with continuous smart recording that organizes daily information and sends active reminders about pending tasks. Recording summaries, real-time translation, an AI teleprompter and message notifications are also available. The device has no camera, shown recording status, and user-managed data controls, which RayNeo says reduces privacy concerns in office and social settings.
Early user reviews frequently cite "light," "good-looking," "clear display" and "useful AI features" as highlights, indicating that recognition comes from both the AI functions and the daily comfort of wearing the device.
According to IDC data, global smart glasses shipments reached 3.566 million units in the first quarter of 2026, up 130.1% year on year. Lightweight display glasses have become the industry's new growth driver, and China's AR and ER category grew 168.6% year on year. RayNeo, which says it is the only company capable of full in-house development and mass production of core optical solutions, has maintained the No.1 position in AR glasses shipments in China and globally.
RayNeo said the iO will receive over-the-air updates in September, adding offline translation, quick SMS reply and proactive reminders from the smart recorder. The glasses start at 1,996 yuan and are currently on sale at JD, Tmall and Douyin; from September, they will also be available for experience and purchase at RayNeo's offline stores nationwide.
