Razer Huntsman V3 HE Analog Keyboard Wins Early Praise, Now Available for Preorder
Razer's Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Tenkeyless 8KHz keyboard, with tactile Hall-effect analog switches, is up for preorder at $139.99. A TechRadar review calls it one of the best analog keyboards tested, despite lacking wireless support.
The V3 HE combines conventional mechanical-like tactility with the customization and performance tweaks of magnetic analog switches. It has an all-black floating-keycap design with a brushed metal faceplate and bright customizable RGB backlighting. The chassis is solid but light, with double-shot PBT keycaps that feel planted. A recessed braided USB-C port adds durability, while tenkeyless dimensions of 14.2 x 5.5 x 1.6 inches make it compact.
In testing, TechRadar found the keyboard a joy for gaming, with responsive and adjustable keys. Razer Synapse software offers extensive analog adjustments and a real-time key-travel visualizer, although the visualizer is not available for every analog setting. However, the reviewer reported discomfort while typing due to thick keycaps and the absence of a wrist rest.
The major drawbacks are its high price for a wired keyboard and lack of wireless connectivity. At $139.99, it costs less than some rivals such as the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL, but more than budget analog alternatives like the MonsGeek FUN60 Ultra, which also adds wireless modes. The V3 HE ships without a wrist rest, and the company also plans a mini 65% variant at $20 less.
Preorders are available now, with the keyboard set to launch later this year. The review praised the integrated OLED screen, which provides visual access to settings and can display in-game information.
