Razer launches Basilisk V4 Pro gaming mouse with new tilt wheel, 275-hour battery life

Razer launched the $170 Basilisk V4 Pro flagship mouse with a new tilt wheel, alongside the $110 Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed and a $70 charging dock.

The V4 Pro offers 14 customizable control options in total. It adds two buttons on the side and moves the multi-function trigger button to what Razer describes as a more natural reach. Its HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen 2 scrolls in 24 steps, switches to a 48-step precision mode, and can be set to free spin for long scrolls. The optical sensor reaches 50,000 DPI and polls at 8,000Hz in both wireless and wired modes. Chroma-integrated games drive the mouse's RGB lighting, which changes to match events on screen. Razer rates battery life at up to 275 hours over Bluetooth and up to 200 hours over Wi-Fi.

The Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed, priced at $110 and also on sale now, carries a smaller feature set. It uses a 33K optical sensor, a four-way tilt scroll wheel with free-spin capability, around a dozen customizable controls, and switches rated for up to 100 million clicks. Battery life is rated at up to 225 hours over Bluetooth and up to 140 hours over Wi-Fi.

Razer also released the Mouse Dock V2 Pro, a magnetic wireless charging accessory priced at $70.
