According to TechRadar, the previous low for the full bundle was £420 in June. The outlet notes that in earlier sales £379 typically covered only the tablet and the Marker Plus, meaning buyers now effectively get the folio cover at no extra cost. TechRadar attributes the pricing to the company winding down the model as it shifts attention to the newer reMarkable Paper Pure.

TechRadar's reviewer, who covers creative and hardware tools for the publication, describes the reMarkable 2 as his primary writing tablet for several years, with a reMarkable Paper Pro Move and a Paper Pure kept as backups. In the publication's review, it wrote: "When it comes to the best writing and sketching experience you can get on an E Ink screen, there's none better than the reMarkable 2." The outlet says the tablet also outperforms the cheaper Kindle Scribe for users focused on writing and drawing alone.

Comparing the models, TechRadar reports that the newer budget Paper Pure is faster but that its writing surface feels harder, while the reMarkable 2 feels softer and more comfortable over long writing sessions. The publication likens the difference to writing with a well-worn pencil on the first pages of a new notepad rather than with a ballpoint pen on the last pages of an A4 pad.

TechRadar recommends the bundle for people who take large volumes of handwritten notes and sketches, citing the writing experience, but advises buyers who often write in dark rooms to consider the Paper Pro or Paper Pro Move instead, since those models include a frontlight. The reMarkable 2 itself has no frontlight.
