reMarkable update adds circle-to-capture, new pen colors, and EPUB upgrades
reMarkable released an update for its E-Ink tablets, adding a circle-to-capture tool, new pen colors, cloud image import, and an EPUB reading refresh.
The most notable addition is a capture tool that lets users circle anything on the screen. Unlike Google's circle-to-search, this tool does not trigger a search; instead, it copies the circled content as an image that can be pasted into notes, moved around, and transferred between notebooks. To use it, users tap Capture from the Selection Tool foldout in the toolbar, and any shape works, not just a circle.
The update also brings new pen colors, including green, yellow, cyan, and magenta, while gray shades were optimized to be more distinguishable. Users can now import JPG and PNG files from Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive through the Convert to Notebook tool. The EPUB reading interface has been redesigned with improved formatting and expanded language support. In addition, the share button has been moved to the main toolbar with a streamlined share menu, and the Web App now supports drag-and-drop for files.
According to Android Authority, these features are listed in the company's release notes and are available on reMarkable's E-Ink tablets.
