Reolink Home Hub 2 Goes on Sale for $199.99 With No Subscription Fee

Reolink's Home Hub 2, announced at IFA 2026, stores feeds from up to eight security cameras locally and adds AI event search without a subscription. It is on sale now for $199.99.

The device was announced at this year's IFA by Reolink, a company that makes home security devices. The second-generation hub adds support for 2.5-inch SATA hard drives, which raises the maximum supported storage to 16TB. Android Authority described it as something like a NAS, but one that works exclusively with a user's home security cameras. The Home Hub 2 keeps one of the two microSD card slots carried over from the previous generation, intended for convenient swapping and retrieval of cards.

The pitch is aimed at households that want AI surveillance features without recurring costs. Google and Apple both offer home surveillance systems that use AI to detect faces, pets and vehicles, and that summarize key events so users do not have to watch an entire day's video. Access to those features requires a subscription to Google Home Premium or iCloud+ respectively, a monthly expense.

Reolink claims similar AI-based detection features on its security cameras. Its devices also work with Google Home, and the company sells a home control hub that lets users manage their cameras and store video feeds for days, all locally and without a subscription fee.

According to Android Authority, the $199.99 Home Hub 2 is the second generation of that hub, and the addition of hard drive support is the main change over the first model.
