Report: Samsung's Exynos 2700 tops Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro in internal tests

The report says the Exynos 2700 scored 19% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in Geekbench 6.5 multicore tests, and 9.5% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. In peak performance, the chip was 5% better than the Pro version, and 24% better in low-power gaming tests.

SEDaily also reported that the Exynos 2700 consumed about 12.7% less power than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. In AI tasks, Samsung's chip generated responses 18% faster and recognized user prompts 5% faster than the Pro chip.

The report comes ahead of the Exynos 2700's expected debut in parts of the Galaxy S27 series. The chip is seen as Samsung's attempt to address long-standing criticism that its Exynos processors suffer from thermal throttling and weaker gaming performance compared with Qualcomm's flagship silicon.

The findings are based on Samsung's in-house evaluation and have not been independently verified. Samsung has made similar claims about previous Exynos chips that did not hold up in real-world testing, so the results should be treated with caution until the chip is tested in retail devices.
