Roborock's Saros 20 Flow goes on sale in the US with self-cleaning roller mop

Roborock's Saros 20 Flow robot vacuum and mop is now available in the US at a launch price of $1,499.99 through September 20, with a Canadian release set for October.

Android Authority reports that the Saros 20 Flow is built around a self-cleaning roller mop, the main upgrade over the previous Saros 20. The machine also offers tangle-free cleaning and an all-in-one dock that handles maintenance tasks so the owner does not have to.

The product was first shown at IFA, where Roborock presented it as the successor to the Saros 20 in its line of combination vacuum-and-mop robots. The company's pitch is that automated floor cleaning can be crossed off the list of household chores, though other tasks such as folding laundry still require a person to do them.

The $200 difference between the launch price and the regular price gives US buyers a limited window to purchase the Saros 20 Flow at the lower figure. Pricing for Canada, which Android Authority says will get the product in October, was not given.

Roborock competes in the smart home cleaning segment, where robot vacuums and mops are sold as a way to automate vacuuming and mopping. The Saros 20 Flow's roller mop design and dock maintenance are the two features the company is emphasizing as it brings the model to the US market, with the Canadian release following about a month later.
