RoboScience Launches Wheeled Humanoid Robot REX G1 for Real-World Production

RoboScience has unveiled its first wheeled humanoid robot, REX G1, with an embodied AI model for logistics, factories, retail and homes. It can navigate 0.75-meter aisles and handle full shelves.

REX G1 has 22 degrees of freedom (2 in head and neck, 7 in each arm, 2 in waist, 1 lift, and 3 in chassis) and can hold 10 kilograms with both arms. Its body adopts a “1+1” form with a large main body for power and a small head for interaction. The machine features rounded edges, a matte finish and an e-ink display, and it has quick-release hatches for maintenance. The company says it supports a repetitive positioning accuracy of ±0.1 millimeters.

The robot is 540 millimeters wide, with length adjustable from 540 to 640 millimeters and height covering 1,100 to 1,700 millimeters. It can move omnidirectionally, including sideways and in-place rotation, and can enter aisles as narrow as 0.75 meters. Its working height spans from 0.1 to 2.0 meters, allowing it to access entire shelves. The company claims REX G1 is the industry's only robot that can enter narrow aisles and access full racks, directly improving warehouse efficiency. In industrial environments with difficult lighting and reflections, it uses 360-degree stereo vision, adaptive fill light and 2,070 TFLOPS of on-device compute to reduce dependence on cloud communication, as well as to handle low-light conditions and reflective surfaces.

REX G1 is powered by RoboScience’s self-developed general-purpose embodied AI large model Visics, based on the VLOA (Vision-Language-Object-Action) architecture. The model combines an embodied world model that predicts 3D object trajectories and a general manipulation model that translates them into control signals for different robot bodies. This decouples high-level task semantics from low-level physical execution, enabling cross-body, cross-object and cross-task generalization. The company says REX G1 can understand open-ended task instructions and adjust its actions in real time, rather than being tied to a single model for one scenario, as is common in the industry.

REX G1 has a single-charge endurance of up to four hours and supports hot-swap battery replacement. The battery can be changed without shutting down, and the robot can resume operations within five seconds, allowing continuous work in high-frequency logistics and warehousing scenarios. The company says REX G1 represents a shift in how robots enter the real world: by adapting to existing environments instead of requiring environmental modifications, understanding tasks instead of executing fixed programs, and working continuously instead of completing a single demo. It said it plans to apply embodied intelligence to more real scenarios, from logistics and flexible manufacturing to retail micro-fulfillment and future home services.
