Rockstar Announces 34-Track Soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto VI
Rockstar has announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track soundtrack of new original songs. Six singles are out today, and the album arrives November 19, the same day as the game.
The announcement follows a music-related tease from Rockstar a few days earlier. Six singles from the album are available today. The confirmed tracks include Yung Lean’s “That’s It,” featuring Future and Metro Boomin; Travis Scott’s “RHYNO,” produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo; “Sexy Magic” by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy; Morgan Wallen’s “Last Thing You Need”; Rauw Alejandro’s “Macacoa 2000”; and Keith Richards’ “Bright Lights, Big City.” Based on those first six singles, the collection spans a wide range of genres, with contributions from artists including Keith Richards and Travis Scott.
The soundtrack will be available on all major streaming services, and Rockstar says it will also be released on CD and vinyl. It launches on November 19, the same day as Grand Theft Auto VI.
The album announcement is the latest Rockstar announcement as GTA VI approaches its long-awaited and often delayed launch. Last month, the studio debuted a lengthy first look at gameplay, which premiered on Netflix before being released on YouTube. The Verge reported that anticipation around the game is so high that almost every major game publisher, with the notable exception of Nintendo, has gotten out of its way.
