Rockstar Unveils GTA VI Album as Take-Two Says GTA Online Support Will Continue After GTA 6

Rockstar unveiled a 34-track GTA VI album as Take-Two said GTA Online will keep receiving support after GTA 6 launches Nov. 19.

The album is available to pre-save on major music streaming services, Rockstar said. Its first six singles were released Sept. 17: Yung Lean's 'That's It' featuring Future and Metro Boomin; Travis Scott's 'RHYNO,' produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo; 'Sexy Magic' by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy; Morgan Wallen's 'Last Thing You Need'; Rauw Alejandro's 'Macacoa 2000'; and Keith Richards' 'Bright Lights, Big City'. The 34 original tracks are meant to capture the energy of GTA 6's Vice City and Leonida, Rockstar said, with a roster including Travis Scott, PinkPantheress, Morgan Wallen, Keith Richards and others.

Physical editions are also planned. The CD costs £10.99 or $19.98, while standard vinyl costs £44.99 or $49.98, according to TechRadar. A limited-edition vinyl priced at £108.99 or $124.98 includes two transparent magenta discs filled with blue liquid, exclusive artwork and packaging. That limited edition sold out soon after it was announced, and it is unclear whether more stock will be available. All editions are expected to ship Nov. 20, one day after GTA 6 launches. Rockstar said exclusive vinyl disc colorways with unique new art will also be available at Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters and independent retailers. More details about the music of GTA 6, including the dynamic score and in-game radio, will follow, the studio said.

Separately, Take-Two used its Sept. 17 shareholder meeting to say GTA 6 is a single-player title due in November and that GTA Online support will continue after GTA 6 release and beyond, according to a ResetEra post reported by TechRadar. GTA 6 is scheduled to launch Nov. 19 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. GTA 6 had already been known to be launching as a standalone single-player experience, but the language at the meeting suggests an online mode tied to GTA 6 is not imminent.

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier said during a discussion about GTA 6's pre-order period and earned revenue that Take-Two has not talked at all, and is not planning to talk anytime soon, about what the new GTA Online will look like. Fans have taken that as a sign that a GTA 6 Online could be a separate paid product. 'Looks like the next variant of GTA Online is nowhere near ready as Schreier already reported,' the original ResetEra poster wrote, adding that it is highly likely Take-Two will launch it as a big standalone title, whether free-to-play or for around $30, to give it resources and spotlight rather than treating it as an add-on. Others supported the standalone idea, while some said it could be another $70 experience. 'I wouldn't be shocked if it costs $70 or more lmao,' one user replied.
