Roku Pro Series 65-inch OLED TV Falls to $799.99 in Amazon Prime Day Deal

TechRadar reported that the discount undercuts LG's budget B6, which was available for $1,299, and also sits below the LG B6E, a cheaper LG variant priced at $999 at Best Buy. The publication said it had just finished reviewing the Roku set and found that it delivers the deep blacks associated with OLED. At its normal price, TechRadar described the Roku Pro Series OLED as effectively as cheap as an OLED can get without choosing an older model.

The 65-inch Roku Pro Series has a 4K panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, variable refresh rate for gaming and Roku's Smart Picture Max optimization. It includes Roku's smart remote, which can play a sound when lost so users can locate it.

In TechRadar's review, the TV was praised for its deep black levels, decent sound quality with effective dialog enhancement and easy setup. The Roku interface was also described as nice, and the 120Hz refresh rate and VRR support were cited as advantages for gamers. The OLED panel was said to maintain contrast in dark movie scenes and games.

TechRadar framed the main buying question as whether a shopper needs OLED. If so, it said it is hard to think of a rival that comes close to the Roku's specifications at that price. The LG B6E is brighter, which TechRadar said makes it better able to overcome reflections in bright rooms. For particularly bright rooms, TechRadar pointed to the TCL QM7L, which was priced at $897.99 for the 65-inch model at Amazon.
