Roku's First OLED TVs Discounted by Up to $400 at Amazon
Roku's first OLED TVs are discounted at Amazon, with codes cutting the 55-inch Pro Series to $699 and 65-inch to $799.
The 55-inch Pro Series has a 120Hz refresh-rate OLED panel, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 Plus. The Verge said the $999 launch price was already impressive, and the discount makes the 55-inch model the most affordable modern 55-inch OLED currently available. The 65-inch version carries the same deal structure with a $400 discount. The Verge said it has not tested either model, but said they appear respectable for buyers seeking strong picture quality without spending too much.
Because these are Roku TVs, the company's streaming software is built in, so owners do not need to attach a separate streaming device unless they prefer hardware from other brands. The Pro Series includes a backlit Roku remote and supports auto low latency mode and variable refresh rate through AMD FreeSync Premium for gaming.
A more expensive Pro Series LX is scheduled to arrive in October starting at $1,299. Roku claims it will be twice as bright as the Pro Series, with a reflection-reducing polarizer and a 144Hz refresh rate.
The Verge also listed other discounts. The Nothing Phone 4A Pro received its first major Amazon discount, with the 8GB memory and 128GB storage base model priced at $449, down from $499, and the 12GB memory and 256GB storage version at $509, down from $599. The phone borrows the high-end model's Glyph Matrix feature, which displays the time, battery life, or notification icons. Reviewer Dominic Preston appreciated its fun and unique design, slim build, and excellent display, according to the report.
Amazon is also selling DJI Osmo Nano video camera bundles. A basic $349 bundle includes the camera with 64GB of internal storage, a Vision Dock with a built-in screen, a magnetic ball joint mount, a protective case, a USB-C cable, and two magnetic mounting options. The tiny camera has been noted for delivering surprisingly rich video quality despite its small size and affordable price.
At Woot, the Ember Warming Mug is available for $34.99, compared with a list price of $129.99. The six-ounce mug can keep coffee or tea warm for up to 90 minutes on a single charge and has an adjustable temperature range of 120 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
