Saidou’s AIVA ME7 Appears in MIIT Filings as First AI Car, With Pricing Speculated Above 200,000 Yuan

Saidou Technology’s AIVA ME7, its first AI-defined car, has appeared in MIIT filings as a nearly five-meter electric SUV with CATL batteries and up to 571 hp; pricing is still unofficial.

The AIVA ME7 is the model that completed its global debut in Paris. The filing identifies it as a coupe SUV with a five-seat layout, a wide and low stance, narrow headlights and a roof-mounted lidar. At the rear, it has a full-width taillight, and the badge confirms the model name.

The car measures 4,999 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,616 or 1,626 mm high, with a 3,050 mm wheelbase. Its front overhang is 945 mm and rear overhang 1,004 mm, while front and rear tracks are 1,716 mm and 1,722 mm. The long wheelbase and relatively short overhangs leave more room for interior packaging, and the wide track with a low body reinforces the sporty stance.

The filing lists 20-inch and 21-inch wheels. The 20-inch version uses 255/50 R20 front tires and 275/50 R20 rear tires; the 21-inch version uses 265/45 R21 front tires and 285/45 R21 rear tires. Both setups have wider rear tires than front tires.

Two powertrain versions are listed. The single-motor version is rear-wheel drive with a maximum power of 270 kW, about 367 hp. The dual-motor version adds a 150 kW front motor, bringing system peak power to 420 kW, about 571 hp. Both versions have a filed top speed of 255 km/h.

The battery is a ternary lithium unit supplied by CATL. Curb weight is 2,295 kg or 2,370 kg for the single-motor version and 2,425 kg or 2,480 kg for the dual-motor version, with the heaviest variant approaching 2.5 tonnes. The filing also lists optional wheels of different designs, red brake calipers and a black roof, and declares a 700 kg towing capacity.

The AIVA ME7 was shown in Paris on Sept. 28. That event focused on exterior design and some intelligent interaction features. The car’s light system, called dynamic light eyes in the QbitAI report, uses bionic design and a light-dot matrix to display different dynamic emotional expressions and respond to gestures from people outside the car. The body also has ten air ducts to guide airflow and improve aerodynamic performance.

Some of the AI features emphasized by AIVA remain outside the filing. Details of the smart cockpit, driver-assistance system and onboard chip have not been fully disclosed.

Saidou Technology has previously indicated the price direction for AIVA. At the brand launch in Beijing on June 9, AIVA proposed an approach described as AI defining the car, with AI first and the car second. The company said at the time that all AIVA products would cover the mainstream market above 200,000 yuan. With the MIIT parameters now public, outside estimates place the AIVA ME7 above that level, citing the brand positioning as well as the near-five-meter body, dual-motor four-wheel drive and ternary lithium battery.

In the 200,000-yuan-plus segment, buyers can already find electric SUVs with 800V or 900V high-voltage platforms, CLTC range above 700 km and increasingly rich driver-assistance functions. Consumers are also weighing features such as in-car large models, smart parking, seat comfort and chassis control. These factors make the segment a crowded field for models with strong technical and product specifications.

AIVA’s planned differentiation is centered on AI experience. Under its brand plan, AIVA integrates large-model capabilities into the car to explore more natural human-car interaction and intelligent functions that can learn and iterate. The light-and-gesture interaction shown at the Paris debut is one public example. As more information about the smart cockpit and driver assistance is released, those AI capabilities may become an important part of how consumers judge the product.

Editor's Summary

Saidou Technology’s AIVA ME7 has entered MIIT filings with a nearly five-meter body, CATL ternary lithium batteries and up to 571 hp, while the company has not announced a price. The brand has positioned AIVA for the market above 200,000 yuan, where established electric SUVs already offer high-voltage platforms, long range and advanced assistance features. AIVA’s planned differentiator is AI-centered interaction, but cockpit, assistance and chip details remain undisclosed.
