Salesforce Expands Missionforce Defense AI Platform With OpenAI and Nvidia
Salesforce is expanding its Missionforce defense AI platform with OpenAI and Nvidia models and computing. The program marks its first year as Salesforce reports 80% year-over-year defense growth.
The expansion adds OpenAI’s frontier models and Nvidia’s models and accelerated computing capabilities to Missionforce, which is now one year old. Salesforce says the program will deliver “new, specialized AI capabilities and agents designed for the government’s toughest challenges.”
Kendall Collins, CEO of Missionforce & Government Cloud, said government agencies want tailored AI that runs everywhere they operate while staying within the secure environments their missions demand. “Missionforce enables this at scale, with purpose-built AI that executes the mission and enables agencies to solve their hardest problems while maintaining operational control,” Collins said.
The expanded platform includes Operations capabilities that turn manual, paper-bound processes such as procurement, supplier management, and invoice audits into digital workflows in minutes. Salesforce said specialized AI agents can automatically run tasks, track status, and flag exceptions in real time, all within private cloud or air-gapped environments.
Missionforce Field Operations & Asset Management is designed to let government agencies use AI agents to automate scheduling, work orders, and asset maintenance. The tool includes native offline mobile capabilities for remote environments, according to the company.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff referred to the partnership in his opening keynote at Dreamforce 2026, saying the company was “deeply committed to America.” Salesforce has worked with government customers for more than two decades. With the expansion, it says it supports some of the U.S. government’s “most complex and consequential missions” across more than 30 countries, working with 60 federal agencies, all 15 U.S. Cabinet departments, all 50 states, and all six branches of the U.S. military.
