Samsung Confirms One UI 9 QuickStar Status Bar Bug, Fix Planned With No Timeline Yet

A Galaxy user recently reported on Samsung’s South Korean community forum that system icons were responding to the wrong controls in Good Lock’s QuickStar module, which lets users customize what appears in the status bar. Some Galaxy users have reported strange status bar behavior after updating to One UI 9. Samsung acknowledged the bug and confirmed that a fix is planned, but changes to the underlying platform software mean there is no timeline yet.

A separate issue causing status bar icons to disappear has a simpler explanation, with Samsung recommending a shorter date format.

Samsung’s stable One UI 9 rollout is gathering pace, bringing new features and improvements to more Galaxy devices. As more users install the update, a few bugs are beginning to surface.
