Samsung Expands Galaxy Book 6 Lineup with Budget-Friendly $799 Model

Samsung's new $799 Galaxy Book 6 adds a budget-friendly Windows option with Intel Core 3/5, a 14-inch display, and AI features.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Book 6 series at CES earlier this year and started selling the first three original models in the US in March. The basic Book 6 released at that time cost at least $1,050. In June, the company added a Snapdragon X2 Elite-powered model for $2,100.

The new Galaxy Book 6 is powered by an Intel Core 3 or Core 5 processor, depending on configuration and market. Its price depends on storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB, and RAM of either 8GB or 16GB. The laptop has a 14-inch 1,920 x 1,200-pixel anti-glare display and offers up to 25 hours of battery life. It supports 45W fast charging and includes two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm jack.

The device comes with AI features such as AI Select, which lets users select content on screen, and Note Assist, which summarizes notes and surfaces important information. As a Galaxy device, it allows quick file sharing across other Galaxy devices and can use a Galaxy Tab as a second display.

The new Galaxy Book 6 is available in Gray and Violet Silver, the latter being the first in the lineup with that color option, in select markets for now.
