Samsung Galaxy phones can create Settings shortcuts via Good Lock's RegiStar

Samsung does not allow shortcut creation by default, the report says. To unlock it, users must first install Good Lock from the Galaxy Store, open the Plugins tab, tap Life up, locate RegiStar and install it. After installation, selecting Search options and toggling on "Allow creation of a shortcut" enables the ability.

Once enabled, users open the Settings app, navigate to the page they want a shortcut for, remember its title, return to the Settings home page, search for that title, press and hold the exact result, and tap Add to place an icon on the home screen. The report notes that shortcuts can be moved into folders to keep the home screen organized.

The article lists examples such as Notification history, Auto Blocker, Install unknown apps, Choose default app, Deep sleeping apps, Battery protection, Connectivity labs, Dolby Atmos, and Mouse and Touchpad settings. These shortcuts help users check missed notifications, toggle security features, change default apps, and manage battery or audio settings quickly.

A minor limitation is that not every settings page supports a direct shortcut. For instance, Connectivity labs cannot have its own shortcut; the shortcut must be created from the parent page Intelligent Wi-Fi, and even then it opens the Intelligent Wi-Fi page, though it highlights Connectivity labs. Despite this quirk, the report says settings shortcuts save significant time and taps for Galaxy users.
