Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Gains AirDrop Support Through Quick Share in One UI 9.0 Update

Samsung's Galaxy S25 FE can now share files directly with iPhones, after AirDrop compatibility for Quick Share arrived with the stable One UI 9.0 update.

The change was spotted by tipster Tarun Vats, who wrote on X that Samsung had added support for sharing with Apple devices through Quick Share in the One UI 9 stable release, adding that Galaxy-to-iPhone sharing was getting easier. Android Authority reported that the tech giant appears to have included the feature in that update.

Google first made Apple's AirDrop work with Quick Share almost a year ago. Since then, the integration has reached a range of Android phones, including the Pixel 10 series, the Galaxy S26 family and the OPPO Find X9 range. The Galaxy S25 FE now joins that list, although Android Authority noted that plenty of Android devices still cannot share files seamlessly with iPhones.

With the update installed, Galaxy S25 FE owners should find it easier to share files directly with iPhone users, and iPhone users should find it easier to share in the other direction. Android Authority reported that it is currently unknown when the next expansion of the feature will come for Android owners who are still waiting for their devices to be supported.
