Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra named top large tablet in ZDNet's 2026 review

ZDNet's 2026 review of large tablets names the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra a top pick for Android fans, highlighting its 14.6-inch AMOLED display, redesigned S Pen, and 2-in-1 capability.

The device features a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 2960 x 1848 resolution, runs on Android 16, and incorporates Galaxy AI features. Base configuration includes 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, expandable via microSD up to 2TB.

A key update from the previous generation is the redesigned S Pen, now with a cone-shaped tip for easier shading and angled strokes, and a hexagonal body resembling a traditional pencil for comfort during extended use. The stylus supports Quick Tools and new Sticky Notes integration, allowing a floating toolbar to change pen styles, colors, or settings quickly, akin to the Apple Pencil Pro's squeeze gesture.

With the optional Book Cover Keyboard priced at $210, which is cheaper than previous keyboards, the tablet can function as an Android-powered 2-in-1 device, offering ample space for multitasking.

However, the tablet's large 14.6-inch screen makes it less portable than other options tested. For those seeking lighter alternatives, ZDNet suggests the OnePlus Pad 2 or the Google Pixel tablet.

Specs include a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, 12GB or 16GB memory, gray and silver colors, a rear camera setup of 13MP main and 8MP ultrawide, a front setup of 12MP main and 12MP ultrawide, weight of 1.6 pounds, dimensions of 12.85 x 8.21 x 0.21 inches, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth v5.4, and an 11,600 mAh battery.
