Samsung Galaxy Warranty Checks Available via One UI 9, Samsung Members and Web
Engadget outlines how Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet owners can verify warranty coverage, including a dedicated One UI 9 menu, the Samsung Members app and Samsung's online devices portal.
On devices running One UI 9, Samsung added a dedicated warranty menu to the Settings app. Users can go to Settings > Warranty and care to find warranty information, diagnostics, repair options, and Samsung Care+ coverage and enrollment information. At the top of the menu, the device's warranty details appear, including coverage type and expiration date. If other Galaxy devices are linked to the same Samsung account, their information is displayed there as well.
The menu also includes built-in diagnostics for hardware including the battery, charging system, screen, camera and sensors. If it identifies a problem, users can move to repair options in the same menu. Samsung also provides an option to ask Bixby for troubleshooting help.
For devices not running One UI 9, or those too old to receive it, Samsung Members can be used to register a device and access support. The app is usually preinstalled on Galaxy devices, but it can also be downloaded from the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store. After opening Samsung Members and signing in, users tap Support in the bottom menu; older versions may show Get help instead. From there, they can register the device if it was not registered automatically during setup, check its status and access support tools. Depending on the device, app version and region, the app may also display product and warranty details.
If that information is not available, Samsung's website is the fallback, according to Engadget. Users can open Samsung's online devices portal and sign in to their Samsung account. If the device is already registered, warranty status can be checked under My Products. If it is not registered, users may need to enter the device's serial number or IMEI during registration. Those identifiers can be found on the device under Settings > About phone or About tablet.
If Samsung shows the wrong expiration date, the company offers a Review Warranty option, also described as submitting a warranty dispute. Users can submit proof of purchase to ensure the warranty date is correct.
Editor's Summary
Samsung Galaxy users have three main ways to check warranty coverage: the new Warranty and care menu in One UI 9, the Samsung Members app on older devices, and Samsung's website. The Settings menu also includes diagnostics and repair options, while the website can be used to correct an expiration date with proof of purchase. Engadget published the guide on October 10, 2026.
