Samsung Good Lock's Gallery Assistant Adds Seven Batch Editing Tools to Gallery App

The Gallery app already lets users edit images and videos, create collages and GIFs, and remove backgrounds and unwanted objects. Android Authority noted that a secret menu called Gallery Labs can unlock additional functions such as album-entry locks and saving images as a PDF. Gallery Assistant extends that feature set with batch processing.

Reduce size shrinks images and videos so they take up less storage space. According to the report, the tool can also help when media files exceed a website's upload limit, though shrinking may affect image and video quality.

Rotate and flip provides bulk rotation and flipping for misoriented media. Android Authority said users can select similarly oriented images and rotate them, repeating the process until all images are reoriented, which is less tedious than rotating images one by one.

Image clipper extracts foreground subjects from multiple images at once. The extracted subjects can be saved as stickers or separate images. The report said this addresses a gap on Galaxy phones, which do not natively allow users to lift a subject from an image as iPhones do.

Add watermark lets users place a watermark on images before uploading them to social media. It supports choosing a watermarking style and selecting which of the model name, logo, and date to show. Font, color, size, and transparency can be customized.

Compare images opens multiple images side by side. After comparing them, users can tap a heart icon to favorite the images they want to keep or a trash icon to delete the ones they do not need.

Save as PDF converts images into a PDF file. Android Authority said users can choose the page size, layout, and output quality before creating the PDF, and can also rename and preview the file.

Print allows users to print multiple images at once from a Galaxy phone. It removes the need to open each image and print it individually, and it lets users configure paper size, orientation, and color before printing.

At the bottom of the tool list, Gallery Assistant also displays Enhance-X, an AI-powered app that fixes images and videos with a few taps. A download icon next to it installs Enhance-X, which can then be accessed from Gallery Assistant or from its own app.

To use Gallery Assistant, Android Authority said users can download the module from the Good Lock app under the Plugins tab by tapping the download icon next to Gallery Assistant. If Good Lock is not installed, it can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store. Once installed, the report said Reduce size and other tools can be accessed in two ways, including directly inside the Gallery app without leaving it.
