Scancom Offers 1,000GB Data SIM With Three and Vodafone Access Until 2028 for £58
Scancom is selling a prepaid 1,000GB data SIM that runs on both Three and Vodafone networks until July 2028 for £57.96 including VAT, a deal limited to businesses and sole traders.
The card is listed at a standard price of £275.99, which the retailer reduces to £48.30 before VAT when buyers enter the code HUKDHOT!!! at checkout. With VAT added, the actual charge is £57.96. TechRadar reported that the £48 figure shown on the page excludes tax and should not be read as the final cost.
Unlike a conventional mobile contract, the purchase is a single upfront payment with no monthly bill and no contract term. The service runs until July 2028, and the 1,000GB allowance renews on the 8th of every month.
Scancom says its SIMs arrive already activated. The card uses MOCN, or Multi-Operator Core Network, technology to gain automatic access to both Three and Vodafone where either network is available, which the retailer presents as a way to improve coverage depending on location. Buyers can choose between a physical SIM and an eSIM.
The product is strictly a data service. No voice calls, text messages or roaming are included, and number porting is not supported, so an existing phone number cannot be transferred to it. Scancom also restricts eligibility: customers must be businesses or sole traders, meaning individuals need to be registered as sole traders to qualify.
Three and Vodafone coverage should be checked before purchase, since dual-network availability varies by location. The SIM has no built-in data-usage monitor, so consumption has to be tracked through the device or a third-party app. If the 1,000GB monthly allowance is exceeded, the data resets rather than carrying over or continuing beyond the limit. A content lock is applied by default, which users can ask Scancom support to remove.
TechRadar's buying advice frames the offer as suited to remote workers, off-site travellers and other high-volume users who need large amounts of data for a router, hotspot or compatible device. It recommends skipping the card for anyone seeking a standard phone SIM or needing to move an existing number.
