Seoul police investigate woman over alleged eavesdropping on singer Cha Eun-woo
Seoul police are investigating a woman in her 50s accused of hiding a recording device under a cafe table to eavesdrop on singer-actor Cha Eun-woo, Yonhap reports.
The woman was caught by police on Aug. 30 while removing the device from the cafe in Seoul's Yongsan Ward, according to the Yongsan Police Station. Cha was meeting with an acquaintance at the cafe at the time, the police station said.
She allegedly used the same method twice last month to eavesdrop on Cha's conversations, police said.
Police are reportedly determining whether she had any accomplices and how she got hold of the device. They are conducting a forensic analysis of her phone, among other measures, according to the report.
