Sept. 25 in Korean history includes the 2018 Moon-Trump summit on North Korea denuclearization, South Korea's selection as 2010 G20 host, the first inter-Korean defense ministerial talks and 2014 Asian Games records.
South Korea was unanimously chosen as the host of the 2010 Group of 20 Summit on Sept. 25, 2009, Yonhap News reported.
In 2000, South and North Korea met on Jeju Island to hold their first defense ministerial talks, the report said.
At the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, host South Korea set two world records, according to Yonhap News. The women's compound archery team shot a world record of 238 points in its quarterfinals victory over Laos. Shooter Kim Mi-jin won the women's double trap gold medal with a record score of 110 points.
