Shanghai Film Group and Kuaizi Launch China's First Industrial-Grade AI Film Production Platform
Shanghai Film Group and Kuaizi.ai launched the Haozhen platform, China's first industrial-grade AI film production infrastructure with 50 NVIDIA DGX Spark systems and trillion-token annual subsidies.
Professional AI video production has long faced challenges despite improvements in generative models. While consumer-oriented tools lower entry barriers for individuals, professional film workflows require stable high-throughput computing, secure private environments for unreleased assets, and multi-level account management for large crews. The Haozhen platform was designed from the start as an enterprise-grade system to address those needs.
Its computing infrastructure includes a private, self-deployed compute pool, with the newly added DGX Spark cluster operated together with NVIDIA's ecosystem partners. Unlike public cloud services, this dedicated resource provides deterministic performance for long-cycle rendering and ensures asset isolation. To ease the cost of massive model consumption, the platform injects millions of computing resources per month and subsidizes about 10% of computing supply, resulting in an annual subsidy of one trillion tokens. According to the report, each professional team deeply engaged in AIGC long-form production consumes roughly 200 billion tokens per year.
On top of the computing base, the platform offers an enterprise-level backend with hierarchical master/sub-accounts, fine-grained permissions, shared asset libraries, and precise token consumption tracking for different teams or projects. This makes it an 'AI film factory' where assets are secure and computing is exclusively allocated.
For organizing production, Kuaizi contributes its 'Lijing Engine' and an enterprise Agent workflow. The engine provides an 'infinite canvas' that integrates script ideas, character settings, storyboards, video generation, and post-production into one continuous workspace. Rather than manually juggling multiple apps, creators can complete generation and modification in a unified flow. The underlying Agent system automatically decomposes creative goals, selects suitable multimodal models, and schedules tasks in the background, shifting from 'people organizing tools' to 'Agents organizing production.'
The platform is already in actual use. The report mentions that AIGC projects including 'New 51st Station' and 'Spirit Detective II' have entered production and commercialization through Haozhen. 'New 51st Station,' a remake of the classic spy film from the Shanghai Film Group, is being produced as a 120-minute short drama with 2-minute episodes, with AI-assisted workflow and human creative optimization. The late actor Liang Boluo, now 89, authorized his likeness to revive the iconic 'Xiao Dazhi' character. 'Spirit Detective II,' from resident company Zuodou Culture, builds on China's first 100-minute AIGC short drama, and uses the platform's dedicated computing and Agent workflow to sustain character consistency and visual coherence in complex storyboards.
The platform also extends to post-production and marketing. Built-in scenario-based Agents can directly reuse assets from the production phase to generate promotional materials such as short video clips, e-commerce graphics, and KOC seeding content, cutting the time and cost of distribution.
Kuaizi founder and CEO Chen Wanfeng said in the report that the company and Shanghai Film Group will continue to promote the Haozhen platform from a project tool for resident companies into a universal infrastructure for China's film industry. The platform does not replace traditional film studios; rather, it serves as an efficient plugin that is expected to grow into a digital foundation for scaled production.
