Siemens Xcelerator Ties Open Ecosystem to Industrial Deployment, Agent Development and Overseas Expansion

Siemens Xcelerator said its China platform had more than 660,000 registered users, 600 partners and 900 solutions as of August 2026, as it presented cases on shared resources, co-creation, technical enablement and global market access at its Star Ecosystem Conference.

The platform is made up of a business portfolio, an ecosystem and an online marketplace. Its partners cover robotics and automation, AI industrial applications, industrial software, knowledge and education, among other areas. The conference returned repeatedly to three ideas: sharing, co-creation and mutual benefit, which were presented as ways to address practical questions about access to industrial resources, complementary partners and market connections.

For many technology companies, the hardest part begins after a product is built. They still need scenario validation, customer access, solution adaptation, system integration and delivery replication. Industrial customers face their own screening problem: with more AI, robotics and industrial software vendors, they need to know which providers understand the shop floor, have been validated on site and can fit into existing production lines. Siemens Xcelerator positions its open ecosystem as a channel between those two sides.

Sharing is illustrated by Aqiu Technology. Working with solutions on Siemens Xcelerator, Aqiu jointly launched an AI digital solution for PCBA component inspection to improve quality and cut costs. Aqiu provides the AQ-VLM industrial vision large model, the VisionAgent vision application platform and the AIDI defect detection engine, while Siemens provides capabilities including X DataHub and Industrial Edge. The joint solution goes beyond identifying defects: Aqiu's visual inspection capabilities are connected through standard APIs to Siemens' industrial data system, and inspection results enter production and product lifecycle processes, forming a closed loop from inspection and analysis to handling and traceability. The solution has been deployed at Siemens' Chengdu digital factory.

Co-creation is shown in a project announced on Sept. 24. Siemens, the Lin-gang Special Area Administration of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Shanghai Lin-gang Cross-border Data Technology Co. are building a cross-border data and international carbon footprint certification exchange service platform. The project targets the hurdles Chinese manufacturers face when going green and going overseas. Product carbon footprints must be calculated, credibly traced, securely transferred across borders and connected to overseas certification systems. It addresses rules including ISO 14067, the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and ESPR. Lin-gang provides cross-border data pilot policies and regional resources, Siemens Xcelerator provides open platform capabilities, and Siemens' SiTANJI product carbon footprint solution handles credible calculation and traceability.

The fourth Siemens Xcelerator Open Competition offered another case. Beijing Yuechi Tongchuang Technology Co., Ltd. faced a fully automatic insertion machine new model design and prototype debugging task under an extreme delivery deadline. Using Siemens' Eigen engineering agent and PLCSIM Advanced, the team completed programming design and simulation debugging in 15 days, then finished on-site debugging in seven days. The project was delivered on schedule and put into production.

Commercial enablement is aimed at helping technology companies find customers, enter scenarios and form orders. Siemens Xcelerator offers merchant services around onboarding, display, lead generation, conversion and delivery, while Marketplace handles product display, solution distribution and demand connection. Shexu Technology, after cooperating with Siemens Xcelerator for more than half a year, received more than 1,000 valid leads pushed by the platform and generated more than 100 orders, according to QbitAI. Its application scenarios expanded from automotive welding fixtures to 3C equipment and energy.

Technical enablement centers on industrial agents. Siemens Xizhihui is intended to package common industrial knowledge, model services, development tools and OT/IT connectivity so companies and partners do not have to rebuild the same foundation each time. On this base, industrial documents can be stored in an AI knowledge base as callable industrial knowledge; PLC, SCADA, API and MCP capabilities can be packaged as Agent-callable Skills; developers can use Workflow and LLM to orchestrate these capabilities into agents for specific industrial scenarios. Siemens estimates that platform-based reuse can shorten the construction cycle for industrial agents from about six months to two to four weeks, a reduction of more than 80 percent.

For overseas expansion, Tianji Intelligent's Gento Luna was listed on the Siemens Xcelerator global Marketplace on Sept. 22 and has received inquiries from a U.S. customer about the product and application scenarios. Tianji Intelligent summarized the difficulties as demand insight, capability display and local service. Siemens Xcelerator presents its global network as a way to connect Chinese technology companies to an existing international industrial network as they move from early growth to scale.

During a roundtable on industrial AI agents at the conference, Zhang Yancong, general manager of Guangzhou Shengyuancheng Technology Co., Ltd., said, “Manufacturing is a very vertical and deep industry, and it requires more partners and more ecosystem.” Siemens Xcelerator organizes commercial enablement, technical enablement and overseas support along the growth path of industrial innovation companies, the report said.
