Sienna Miller and Dominic West Legal Drama War Premieres on HBO
Sienna Miller and Dominic West's legal drama War premieres Oct. 1 on HBO, with weekly episodes and international streaming via HBO Max, Sky Atlantic and Crave.
Set in London, the eight-episode series follows two rival law firms, Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne, as they take opposite sides in a high-profile divorce case between tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson, played by West, and his A-list film star wife Carla Duval, played by Miller. The cast also includes Phoebe Fox, James McArdle, Pip Torrens, Nina Sosanya, Archie Renaux, Nick Mohammed and Celia Imrie. TechRadar reported that a second season is already in development with a new case and cast but the same two law firms.
In the United States, new episodes will be released weekly in the same Thursday 9 p.m. ET/PT slot through the finale on November 19, according to the guide. HBO Max offers streaming access, with plans starting at $10.99 per month; subscribers can also pay more to add live sports and bundle services such as Disney Plus and Hulu. YouTube TV new subscribers can get a five-day free trial and add HBO Max to their plans, the guide said.
In the United Kingdom, episodes will air on Sky Atlantic at 9 p.m. on Fridays from October 2, a day after their U.S. release. They will also be available on catchup through Sky and on the recently launched HBO Max service in the UK, which comes free with Sky TV plans or as a standalone subscription from £5.99 per month. A NOW Entertainment Membership offers another route from £6.99 per month, according to TechRadar.
Canadian viewers can watch on Crave, which follows the U.S. weekly schedule with new episodes every Thursday from October 1; prices start at CA$11.99 per month or CA$119.99 per year. In Australia, HBO Max will carry the series from $11.99 per month, with episodes arriving weekly from Friday, October 2, the guide said.
TechRadar's guide also addresses viewers who are traveling abroad, saying they can use a VPN to make their device appear to be in their home country and access their usual streaming accounts. The guide recommends NordVPN and cites a discount of up to 75 percent. It notes that YouTube TV's free trial can allow new subscribers to watch at least the first few episodes of War at no cost.
