Sogang University data breach exposes 180,000 personal records
Sogang University in Seoul has been hit by a hacking attack, leaking about 180,000 personal information records of students and staff, the school said Saturday.
The university said it confirmed circumstances indicating that some information was leaked through an unidentified outside attack on its integrated login account information. The leaked data includes student numbers, names, affiliations, mobile phone numbers and passwords.
School officials said the IP address used in the attack has been blocked and other emergency measures have been taken.
