Some Pixel phones have forgotten how to Flip to Shhh
According to Android Authority, Pixel's Flip to Shhh gesture is failing for some users, with the feature disappearing or becoming impossible to enable. Updating Digital Wellbeing may help, but not for everyone.
The issue has been reported by several users on Reddit over the last couple of weeks, with no clear reason given for the sudden failure. Flip to Shhh, a gesture-based feature that lets users silence all notifications by turning the phone face down on a flat surface, was released with the Pixel 3 back in 2018 and has largely worked as intended until recently.
Updating the Digital Wellbeing app appears to fix the issue for some users, according to the report. However, Google has not confirmed the connection, and the fix is not universal. Some users say the problem persists or returns even after updating. Android Authority said it has reached out to Google for more information.
