Sonic Lamb's Beyond Headphones Promise Felt Bass Through Skin, Set for US Launch

Sonic Lamb's $249 Beyond headphones, due in the US in November 2026, add felt bass via skin vibration, TechRadar says.

The Beyond headphones look like other premium headphones, but each ear includes an Impulse Driver that sends low-frequency vibration as low as 2Hz through the headphones' "wooferpads," TechRadar reported on October 17, 2026. The vibrations are synchronized with the audio, following not only the timing of a song but also its dynamics. TechRadar said it had tested the first generation of the technology and found that it worked, describing the effect as subtle but effective and as adding an extra dimension to music.

The new version offers 10 intensity levels and personalized profiles for music, movies, gaming or adjusting the audio to suit the wearer's preferences. Beyond the vibration feature, the headphones include Bluetooth 5.4, LDAC, aptX Lossless, Bluetooth LE Audio, LC3, USB-C digital audio, 3.5mm analogue audio and multipoint connectivity. Sonic Lamb also offers Beyond Link, a dongle for low-latency gaming connectivity. Battery life is listed at up to 40 hours. The headphones do not include active noise cancellation.

TechRadar said its main complaint about the initial model was its design, which it called "a little unrefined," and it noted that Sonic Lamb is still using the marketing slogan "eargasm." The key features of the earlier model, including sound, comfort, weight and padding, were all rated very good. TechRadar audio editor Becky said the headphones "recreate the experience of being at a live gig much better than I could've imagined."

The Beyond headphones are priced at $249, about £187 or AU$357, for the US market. Sonic Lamb has not announced availability details for other regions in the TechRadar report.
