Sony offers refurbished PS5 bundle with $18 second controller before GTA VI

Sony’s limited-time refurbished PS5 bundle adds a second DualSense for as little as $18 ahead of Grand Theft Auto VI.

Through the offer page, customers can choose a refurbished digital console for $499 or a disc-based model for $549, The Verge reported. A refurbished DualSense is $40 off its usual price; a white controller adds $18 to the order, while a fancier color such as sterling silver adds $23. The refurbished controller also includes a one-year warranty.

Both refurbished consoles include a 1TB SSD. Sony’s digital edition console at stores currently has 825GB of built-in storage, while the disc edition has 1TB, The Verge reported. Like other PlayStation 5 consoles, the refurbished units support PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSDs with heatsinks for additional storage, though those drives are currently pricey, according to the report.

The offer is aimed at buyers who want to save on a console before Grand Theft Auto VI arrives and at households that need two controllers. The Verge described the bundle as an affordable way to stock up for a two-player household.
