Spotify users report widespread outage with login and search problems

Spotify appeared to be down on Sept. 29, 2026, with more than 3,500 Downdetector reports. Users reported slow service, login failures and search errors, according to Android Authority.

Android Authority reported that the complaints covered several problems. Some users said Spotify was slow. Others said they could not view their profiles or listen to music. Some users said they had been logged out on both web and mobile and were unable to sign back in.

The outage also prompted users to post on Twitter, Android Authority reported. Those users said they could not search for songs and were seeing error messages. One error message cited by the publication read, "Something went wrong. Have another go?"

At the time of Android Authority's report, the number of Downdetector submissions was still rapidly climbing. The publication said it would keep watching the situation and update its article when the service appeared to be back online.
