Straight Talk upgrades unlimited plans without raising base prices
Straight Talk upgraded unlimited plans without raising base prices, adding 5G Ultra Wideband to its $45 Silver tier.
The $45-per-month Silver Unlimited plan now includes 5G Ultra Wideband, which Verizon says offers speeds three times faster than standard 5G. The $55 Gold and $65 Platinum plans already included Ultra Wideband access. Android Authority described the Silver change as a particularly welcome upgrade for subscribers on that tier, whose plan’s base price has not increased since 2009.
Silver and Gold customers also receive more hotspot data. The plans add expanded international benefits and savings on Home Internet bundles, according to the report.
The changes leave the monthly base prices for the unlimited plans unchanged, the report said.
