Sullivan Report Puts Tencent WorkBuddy First in China Personal and Enterprise Desktop AI Agent Rankings
Leiphone reported that Tencent's WorkBuddy ranked first in both China personal and enterprise desktop AI agent lists in Sullivan's 2026 global desktop AI agent report, which cited its Harness engineering, skills marketplace and custom-model access.
The report measured desktop AI agents through two composite indexes: product technology leadership and user deployment effectiveness. The first covers agentic capabilities, Harness engineering, model adaptation and usability, and expansion and openness, including task planning, tool invocation, multi-agent collaboration, memory management, Computer Use, permission control, error recovery, MCP/Skills systems and third-party integration. The second covers desktop user experience, multi-device connectivity, automation and workflows, and enterprise capabilities and innovation differentiation, including installation and deployment, UI interaction, cross-platform collaboration, IM/mobile/cross-device synchronization, workflow templates, task orchestration, scheduled scheduling, team governance, audit and compliance, data localization and customer support.
Under that framework, WorkBuddy ranked first on both Chinese lists. The report also placed WorkBuddy among enterprise-oriented native AI agent products alongside Claude Cowork. It said Harness is the real deciding factor for desktop AI agents and cited WorkBuddy's skills marketplace and API/Webhook access to enterprise systems as examples of execution interfaces within the Harness pillar. The report described WorkBuddy's zero-cost access for custom models as a unique moat.
The Sullivan ranking added to recent recognition from three research institutions. On Sept. 14, Omdia's Global Enterprise Agentic Worker — 2026 China Market report found WorkBuddy scored at least 4.5 in five dimensions: trustworthy task effectiveness, team effectiveness gains, expert and Skills ecosystem, execution engineering resilience, and enterprise-level governance, all significantly above the market average listed in the report. On Sept. 15, IDC's China Enterprise General Agent Product Technology Assessment ranked WorkBuddy first overall, with full marks in six of nine evaluation dimensions.
