Surfshark Launches First Black Friday VPN Deal of 2026, Discounts One Plan to Starter Price
Surfshark's early Black Friday deal offers its One VPN plan at Starter pricing for 15- and 27-month subscriptions.
With the promotion, Surfshark One costs $2.99 per month on the 15-month plan, down from the usual $3.59. The 27-month plan costs $2.49 per month, down from $2.79. The savings are $9 and $8.10 respectively, making the shorter subscription the larger discount in dollar terms. Over two years, the 27-month price falls from $75.33 to $67.23. Monthly subscribers do not receive any discount at the time of writing, TechRadar reported.
Surfshark One normally includes VPN access, Alternative ID, Scam Protection, Antivirus and dark web alert tools. Starter is the company's bottom-tier plan. By paying Starter pricing, customers get One's additional security and privacy features for the same monthly cost. All prices are in US dollars but are available globally, and Surfshark's website displays the local currency.
TechRadar's VPN managing editor said he recommends the One plan to friends and family whether or not it is on sale, because it offers the best mix of Surfshark's tools without the higher price of the top-tier One+ plan. One+ adds the Incogni data removal service but costs $3.99 per month, or $107.73 in total, making it more than $40 more expensive. Many people will not need it, according to the report.
The One plan is also cheaper than comparable plans from other providers, TechRadar reported. NordVPN Basic costs $94.23, while ExpressVPN starts at $83.72, and neither has the range of features found in Surfshark One. Both NordVPN and ExpressVPN offer more robust security than Surfshark, however, so users should consider their priorities before choosing among the VPN deals available.
The current offer is not the best Black Friday deal TechRadar has seen from Surfshark. A Surfshark One plan has already been available at this price in 2026, and larger savings may arrive closer to Black Friday on Nov. 27. Existing Surfshark customers who like the service can resubscribe during the promotion to add cheaper time to their contract, the report said.
