Suri Core 1.0 Review: Affordable Sonic Toothbrush with Sustainable Credentials

TechRadar reviews the Suri Core 1.0, a cheaper sonic toothbrush with simple design, recyclable heads and a 28-day battery, calling it a solid value.

The Core 1.0 is priced at $75 in the US and £65 in the UK, undercutting other Suri brushes that retail at $99 / £85. It features a bio-plastic body made from renewable and recycled materials, a motor delivering 28,000 movements per minute, and a battery that lasts 28 days on a full charge. Unlike the Pro model, it does not come with a clean-and-charge case, only a brush cap for travel.

TechRadar's reviewer tested the brush for 21 days without needing to recharge. The toothbrush has two settings, Clean and Polish, and a built-in timer that pulses every 30 seconds via haptic feedback, then shuts off automatically after two minutes. The reviewer praised its sleek design and the included magnetic mirror-mount, but noted that the absence of a gentler sensitive mode and the pressure sensor requiring some force to activate could be drawbacks. The brush also operates at 69 decibels, which is relatively loud.

On sustainability, Suri operates prepaid mailing programs in the US and UK that allow users to send used brush heads back for recycling into new products. The toothbrush is also covered by a warranty with free repair and return service.

The review concluded that despite minor compromises, the Suri Core 1.0 is a simple, high-quality sonic toothbrush at a reasonable price, with credible environmental credentials, and would be a preferred choice over more expensive, feature-heavy alternatives.
