SwitchBot RGBICWW Light Bars bring 12-zone color to Apple Home via Matter
SwitchBot's RGBICWW Light Bars add dedicated white LEDs, 12 color zones and Matter over Wi-Fi to Apple Home without a hub.
The light bars are designed to provide real white light for work and reading while also offering RGBIC color for movies and gaming. Each pair has separate cool-white and warm-white LEDs, adjustable color temperature from 2200K to 6500K, dimming and up to 800 lumens across the two bars.
On the color side, each bar has six independently controllable RGBIC zones, giving the pair 12 zones in total. That setup allows multi-color gradients rather than a single color across an entire bar. The bars also include 26 preset dynamic effects and six music-reactive modes powered by a built-in microphone, so no separate sensor is needed to sync the lights to sound.
The Apple Home integration covers on/off, brightness, color temperature and color control through the Home app or Siri. Deeper color-zone control, music modes, dynamic effects and scene building remain in the SwitchBot app rather than Apple Home, which 9to5Mac described as standard for Matter accessories at this level of feature complexity. A wired physical controller is included for quick changes.
The bars include built-in magnets for attaching directly to compatible metal surfaces, with adhesive offered as another option. They can be mounted horizontally, vertically, behind a monitor or TV, or set upright with included desktop stands.
In its review, 9to5Mac said the attention to color detail is fantastic and that Matter over Wi-Fi lets buyers connect the bars directly to Apple Home without a hub while retaining flexibility for the future.
