T-Mobile May Let Customers Pick Their Perk, Report Suggests

The Mobile Report said an anonymous T-Mobile employee spotted eight new account-level SOC codes in the carrier’s systems. SOC codes are internal identifiers for plans, add-ons, and other account features, according to the report. Most of the newly discovered codes end in “OUA,” which The Mobile Report believes could mean “On Us Add-on.” Android Authority reported that the codes point to Apple Music, YouTube, SiriusXM, Paramount Plus, ESPN Plus, Xbox Game Pass, Google AI, and DashPass.

T-Mobile has not announced the program, so eligibility, launch timing, and the exact subscription tiers remain unclear, according to the reports. The company has not commented publicly on the internal codes or on any possible pick-your-perk offer.

Android Authority wrote that T-Mobile has spent the past year frustrating longtime customers and then trying to win back some of that goodwill with revamped offerings. A perk that customers can choose themselves could serve as another olive branch, though the reported codes do not confirm that such an offer will launch. The listed choices cover several categories: Apple Music, YouTube, SiriusXM, Paramount Plus, and ESPN Plus for media; Xbox Game Pass for gaming; Google AI for artificial intelligence services; and DashPass for delivery. Because the information comes from internal codes rather than a public announcement, it does not establish which customers would qualify or how the benefit would be tied to specific plans.
