TCL QM7L Mid-Range TV Discounted in US and UK as TechRadar Names It Top Pick

TechRadar reports TCL's QM7L, sold as C7L in the UK, is discounted in several sizes after its March 2026 launch. The 65-inch US model is $897.99 at Amazon, while the UK 65-inch C7L is £1,169.10 at Argos with code INSTANT10.

TechRadar said the US discount amounts to about $600 off a set that is barely six months old. It also listed additional US Amazon prices: the 55-inch QM7L at $697.99, down from $1,199.99; the 75-inch at $1,197.99, down from $1,999.99; the 85-inch at $1,497.99, down from $2,499.99; and the 98-inch at $2,197.99, down from $3,999.99. In the UK, TechRadar listed the 65-inch C7L at £1,169.10, down from £1,299, and the 75-inch C7L at £1,439.10, down from £1,599, both at Argos.

TechRadar's recommendation is based partly on first-hand experience. Its reviews editor said he has used the TCL QM7K, the predecessor to the QM7L, as the center of his home cinema setup for nine months, and he edited TechRadar's recent TCL QM7L review. He wrote that the QM7L is the TV he would buy for himself at the discounted price.

TechRadar noted that the US model is called the TCL QM7L while the UK model is sold as the TCL C7L, but the two are functionally the same product. The QM7L has up to 3,000 peak nits of brightness, 2,100 local dimming zones, and anti-halo and color-enhancing technology, the report said. It also has a 144Hz refresh rate, two HDMI 2.1 ports with current-generation gaming features such as 4K at 120Hz, auto low-latency mode and variable refresh rates, and built-in Bang & Olufsen sound.

In TechRadar's recent QM7L review, the TV received 4.5 stars. The report said its anti-halo technology reduces blooming, preventing bright whites from washing out nearby blacks, and that its motion handling is fluid for gaming. It added that the QM7L can produce bold, lush colors that rival those of its higher-spec sibling, the QM8K, and that its 3,000-nit peak brightness is impressive for the price. TechRadar also said the built-in Bang & Olufsen audio has a more convincing mid-range than the thinner, hollow sound common on cheaper TVs.

TechRadar concluded that the QM7L is one of the most impressive mid-range TVs it has seen this year and that it already offered good value before the discounts. At the current prices, the publication said, it would not miss out on the set.
