TDM Neo, the Twistable Headphone-Speaker Hybrid, Goes on Sale Nine Months After CES Debut
TDM Neo, a twistable headphone-and-speaker hybrid unveiled at CES 2026, is now available for $249/£249, nine months after its debut.
TechRadar reported that its editor tested the TDM Neo at CES and described it as one of the most memorable product launches there. The publication said the device was not a gimmick and had several smart considerations. The twisting mechanic not only changes the physical form but also tells the gadget which speakers to play music out of.
The TDM Neo has four 40mm speakers. Two are part of the headphone module and sit against the user's ears, while the other two belong to the speaker mode and face outward at all times. TechRadar said this combination means the drivers do not have to serve as jacks of all trades and can focus on their respective roles. The device also has multiple microphones for calls when used in headphone mode.
Battery life is listed at 200 hours in headphone mode, dropping to 16 hours as a speaker. TechRadar noted that 16 hours still beats many of its go-to party speakers. As headphones, the device weighs 340g, which TechRadar called a little heavy. Features include control buttons, find-my functionality, a low-latency gaming mode and a separate EQ for the two different Neo functions.
TechRadar said the $249 / £249 price is not cheap, but it noted that buyers are getting two gadgets in one. The publication also raised durability questions, asking what would happen if the twisting mechanism failed so the speakers played in headphone mode, or if parts wore down from repeated motion. It said it was especially curious to test the device and that a full review would follow when it got the Neo.
