TeamGroup 32GB DDR5-6400 Kit Falls to $429 at Newegg as Memory Prices Keep Climbing
TeamGroup's 32GB T-Force Vulcan ECO DDR5-6400 kit is selling for $429 at Newegg, down from $479, with promo code TEF395, according to TechRadar. The $50 cut lands during the 2026 memory crisis.
The kit contains two 16GB DDR5 modules rated for 6,400MT/s with CL38 latency and 38-46-46-84 timings at 1.35V. TeamGroup fits silver heat spreaders and supports both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO performance profiles, which lets the same pair be configured on either platform. Hitting the rated 6,400MT/s requires a compatible motherboard and processor plus the appropriate XMP or EXPO profile enabled; otherwise the modules run at their default speed.
TechRadar reports that DDR5-6400 offers considerably more theoretical bandwidth than entry-level DDR5-4800 and DDR5-5200 kits, though the real-world gain depends on the rest of the system. On price, the publication notes the kit has sold for slightly less at Newegg in the recent past, at $415.99, so $429 is not the lowest figure recorded for this part.
TechRadar's buying guidance favors the Vulcan ECO for people building or upgrading a DDR5 desktop who want 32GB of relatively fast memory with support for both major performance-profile standards. It advises skipping the purchase if the current PC already has enough memory, or if the motherboard and processor cannot take advantage of DDR5-6400, arguing that at today's RAM prices there is little reason to spend $429 without a need for the upgrade.
