TechRadar guide maps NBA 2026/27 viewing options as Knicks begin title defense

TechRadar guide lists free India/China NBA streams, U.S., Canada and U.K. coverage, League Pass and a Norton VPN offer.

The guide says select games are free to watch on the NBA YouTube channel in India and on free-to-air CCTV5 in China. For viewers outside their home market, it recommends Norton VPN, describing it as fast and reliable with worldwide server locations; it says the Plus plan protects up to 10 devices, carries a 60-day money-back guarantee, is discounted by 70% to $2.50 a month and has an exclusive TechRadar reader discount.

In the United States, national coverage is spread across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and NBC, according to the guide. Sling TV's Orange package, at $4.99 a day, $14.99 a week or $45.99 a month, carries ESPN and ESPN2, while the Blue plan from $45.99 a month includes ABC and NBC in select cities; the combined Orange + Blue plan costs $60.99 a month. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and Fubo also carry the four channels and offer free trials to new users. Amazon Prime shows Friday night doubleheaders, late-season Thursday night games, late-season Saturday afternoon games, select NBA Cup ties and European games for $14.99 a month or $139 a year after a 30-day free trial, with students and 18-24-year-olds paying $7.49 a month. ESPN Unlimited costs $31.99 a month or $319.99 a year, while Peacock starts at $12.99 a month or $129.99 a year for a plan with live sports and can be accessed through a Walmart Plus 30-day trial for $1. NBA League Pass carries every out-of-market game from $16.99 a month or $109.99 for the season.

In Canada, coverage including Toronto Raptors games is split between Sportsnet and TSN, the guide says. Sportsnet+ starts at CA$34.99 a month or CA$269.99 a year, and TSN+ starts at CA$24.99 a month or CA$249.99 a year. Amazon Prime has 66 exclusive games for CA$9.99 a month or CA$99 a year after a 30-day free trial, with students and 19-24-year-olds paying CA$4.99 a month or CA$49 a year. League Pass starts at CA$19.99 a month or CA$129.99 for the season.

In the UK, Sky Sports shows several NBA games each week, with packages starting at £35 a month, or £22 a month for existing Sky customers, and NOW Sports memberships carrying the Sky Sports channels. Amazon Prime shows 66 games including the NBA Cup for £8.99 a month or £95 a year after a 30-day free trial, with students and 18-24-year-olds paying £4.49 a month or £47.49 a year. League Pass costs £16.99 a month or £114.99 for the season.

The guide frames the season around Jalen Brunson, the Finals MVP, back-to-back MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama and two-time top scorer Luka Doncic. It says LeBron James moved to the Philadelphia 76ers and Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat in the offseason, while Wembanyama and Doncic have yet to win a championship.
