TechRadar Highlights Garmin and Sennheiser Prime Day Deals

TechRadar selected three Garmin watches and five Sennheiser audio deals as standout Amazon Prime Day offers in the US and UK, citing testing and current discounts.

The Garmin Fenix 8 received the strongest recommendation for serious outdoor users. TechRadar reported a US deal that cuts the 47mm model from $999.99 to $731.34 on Amazon US and a UK deal that cuts it from £699.99 to £595.56 on Amazon UK. The editor described the watch as a powerful model that earned five stars in TechRadar's review and was called “rugged, expensive perfection.” It is suited to long-distance running, skiing, multi-day hikes and outdoor navigation, with full-color maps, SatIQ multi-band GPS, health metrics and battery life of up to 16 days. TechRadar said the discount follows the recent release of the Garmin Fenix 9 Pro and Fenix 9, and that the 47mm version is the only version seriously discounted, with other colors and sizes costing more.

For runners, TechRadar selected the Garmin Forerunner 165. The US deal lowers the price from $249.99 to $198.99 on Amazon US, a 20% discount, while the UK listing is £160.99. TechRadar said the watch began life as a £249.99 product and that Currys lists it at £199, making the Amazon UK link the cheapest place to buy it. The Forerunner 165 was replaced in the lineup this year by the Garmin Forerunner 170. In TechRadar's review, it received 4.5 stars for its bright screen, feature-rich software and 11-day battery life. The all-plastic build can feel cheap but makes the training tool lightweight. TechRadar said it is ideal for regular runners, offering race-adaptive training plans, daily suggested workouts, button and touchscreen operation for use with gloves, and a Readiness score for training and recovery. The Whitestone color costs an extra $10.

The Garmin Vivoactive 5 and Vivoactive 6 were included for generally active people rather than a specific group. The US deal lists the Vivoactive 5 at $189.90, down from $299.99, while the UK deal lists the Vivoactive 6 at £176.34, down from £234.99. TechRadar described the Vivoactive series as a watch for generally active people, rather than one specifically geared toward a single activity.

In the Sennheiser guide, TechRadar's headphone reviewer said the brand almost never fails to impress with faithful, detailed audio, great build quality and fantastic ergonomics, and that some of the best Sennheiser headphones and earbuds the site has tested are discounted for Prime Day. The reviewer narrowed the offers to five favorites for US and UK shoppers. The Sennheiser IE 200 in-ear monitors were listed at $99.95, down from $159.95, in the US and £81.69, down from £129.99, in the UK. The reviewer said they had been exceptional at full price and are now “an absolute steal.”

The Sennheiser Accentum Plus was listed at $109.95, down from $249.95, in the US and £103.19, down from £199.99, in the UK. TechRadar called them a fantastic-sounding pair of wireless headphones and said they are easy to recommend at around half price. The Sennheiser Momentum 4 received a 43% discount after the launch of a successor; TechRadar said the five-star headphones offer spectacular, impactful audio, huge battery life and a timeless design. The Sennheiser HD 660S2 was almost 30% off in the US and had a £64 saving in the UK; TechRadar said they supply nuanced, neutral and engaging audio with a supremely comfortable fit for musicians and audiophiles.

In the UK, TechRadar also highlighted the Sennheiser CX 80U USB-C earbuds, which the reviewer uses with a Nintendo Switch 2 and a phone, citing refined treble, instrument separation, a built-in mic and convenience. The Sennheiser Accentum Open Wireless Earbuds were listed at under £50 in the UK, with an open-style fit, 28 hours of battery life and IPX4 waterproofing. TechRadar said the reviewer had not tried that model but considered the deal too good to leave out. The Garmin editor also said they were not seeing the broad swathes of discounts seen in previous years, though TechRadar said the selected deals offer good value.
