TechRadar launches mobile app with personalized news feed

TechRadar has launched a free mobile app for iOS and Android, featuring personalized feeds, article bookmarks, search tools, and an optional ad-free subscription.

The app is free to download, but TechRadar said users can read only five articles without signing in. Creating a free account unlocks unlimited article reading and automatically enrolls the user as an official TechRadar Insider, with benefits including the ability to comment on articles, vote in polls, take quizzes, and more. An ad-free version is also available for $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year in the US, and £1.99 per month or £19.99 per year in the UK.

According to TechRadar, the home page in the app works the same way as on its website, displaying the latest news and features across categories including phones, computing, cameras, and streaming. Users can toggle from "All News" to "My Feed" on the home page and select their interests to create a tailored news feed. A bookmark symbol at the top of any article saves it to a "Saved List" for reading later.

The app also includes a new search tool and a discover feed that lets users filter articles by type and date range. If enabled on a device, push notifications deliver breaking technology news as it happens.

TechRadar said it is continuing to work on new features and has more ideas planned. It invited readers to provide feedback by emailing the team or leaving comments below.
