TechRadar Names LG C6, Sony Bravia 7 II and Samsung S95H/S99H as 2026 TV Favorites
TechRadar's TV reviewer named the LG C6, Sony Bravia 7 II and Samsung S95H/S99H as three favorite TVs tested in 2026 so far, as Prime Day discounts arrive in the US and UK.
TechRadar says the LG C6 is the best TV the reviewer has tested in 2026 so far. It may not sit at the top of the market for features or picture quality, but TechRadar says no other TV offers better value for money. The C6 delivered bright colors that worked well for animation such as Elemental and rich contrast that suited The Batman. Its motion handling is suited to sports, and crisp textures help movies, TV and games. TechRadar says it has a brightness boost over its predecessor, the LG C5, as well as a faster processor and a more accurate, engaging picture, all at the same launch price. It also has a full suite of gaming features and solid built-in sound. The 65-inch LG C6 is priced at $1,499.99 at Best Buy, while the 55-inch model has dropped to £1,399 at Amazon, which TechRadar says is not a record low but is a great price.
TechRadar identifies RGB mini-LED as a new TV technology in 2026 and says testing it has been a mixed bag, but the Sony Bravia 7 II impressed. The more entry-level of Sony's RGB TVs, sitting below the flagship Sony Bravia 9 II, the Bravia 7 II delivers excellent black tones for a backlit TV that rival some OLEDs, powerful contrast and solid brightness. Its colors stand out. TechRadar says its vibrancy was astounding in testing with the Lumas in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, whose body colors exploded on screen. For gaming, the Bravia 7 II has Perfect for PlayStation 5 features, 4K 120Hz, VRR and ALLM support, and measured 10.4ms input lag, better than most Sony TVs TechRadar has tested in the past few years. TechRadar calls it pricey for a mid-range RGB TV but impressive. The 65-inch is $1,799.99 at Best Buy, an $800 saving, and the 55-inch is £1,649 at Sevenoaks.
Samsung's flagship OLED for 2026, the Samsung S95H in the US and Samsung S99H in the UK, is one of the year's best OLED TVs, according to TechRadar. TechRadar notes a naming difference: there is also a Samsung S95H in the UK, but it is different from the US S95H and UK S99H. The UK S95H has lower brightness, no bezel and Wi-Fi 5, while the other model has Wi-Fi 6. TechRadar says the S95H/S99H delivers truly fantastic picture quality and cites movie viewing including Speed Racer in its assessment.
TechRadar also lists deal sources. In the US, it points to Amazon for savings on Hisense, Samsung, TCL and more; Best Buy for up to 50% off LG, TCL and more; and Walmart for TVs from as low as $68. In the UK, it points to Amazon for LG OLED, Hisense and Samsung; Currys for up to £500 off TVs from Sony and more; Argos for TCL and Samsung TVs from £189; and John Lewis for up to £350 off Sony TVs.
