TechRadar names top-scoring earbuds of 2026 in testing roundup
TechRadar names Sennheiser, Samsung, Shokz and Baseus earbuds among its top-scoring models of 2026.
Sennheiser appeared at both ends of the price range. TechRadar said the Momentum True Wireless 5 offered "superb" sound and user-replaceable batteries in both the earbuds and the charging case. It said the wired CX 80U delivered "clean and agile bass, clear mids, and vivid highs", solid noise isolation and a price that leaves change from $40 / £30.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro also earned a place. According to TechRadar, "they sound incredible, the noise cancellation really works, they look classy yet understated, and knock it out the park with the array of features offered in the app." The roundup added that battery life could be better and that a Samsung phone is needed to get the best from them.
TechRadar also tested open-ear models. It called Shokz OpenDots 2 ultra-comfortable and long-lasting, but said they were a little prone to being knocked out of the ear. The lower-cost Baseus Bowie MC2 also delivered on comfort and was described as a very solid choice for a tighter budget.
The roundup said readers can use product cards to see each model's overall score, the main pros and cons noted in testing, and a link to the full review. The cards are available only for earbuds sold in the reader's region, TechRadar said.
