TechRadar highlights five gaming laptops with RTX 50-series GPUs from Walmart and Best Buy as back-to-school sales near their end.

Citing rising component costs, particularly for RAM, TechRadar's retail editor Alex noted that discounts are still available despite tighter margins. He scanned retailer pages and selected five laptops across various price points, ranging from budget-friendly models to high-end configurations.

Among the picks, the Gigabyte A16 at Walmart stands out as the best value, priced at $1,249, down from $1,849. It packs an RTX 5070 GPU and 32GB of RAM, though it uses an older chipset and is relatively heavy. TechRadar called it one of the cheapest machines in recent months to include the RTX 5070.

A more premium option is the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S at Best Buy, listed at $2,089 (originally $2,199). This model features an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, an OLED display, and a Core Ultra 9 chipset, making it a well-specced choice for those with a larger budget.

For buyers seeking a budget-friendly machine, the HP Victus was mentioned as a very cheap option with an RTX 3050, an older Intel Core i5 processor, and 8GB of RAM. TechRadar advised that it can handle basic games and esports titles, but recommended spending more if possible.

The MSI Cyborg, with an RTX 5060, Intel Core 5 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage, was described as a good compromise between budget and power, suitable for both study and gameplay.

Another selection, the Lenovo Legion 5i, is priced higher for an RTX 5060 machine but includes a stunning OLED display. However, TechRadar noted that this configuration only comes with 16GB of RAM, a sacrifice made for the screen quality.

TechRadar highlighted that these deals come as both Walmart and Best Buy near the end of their back-to-school promotions, offering a final window for students, teachers, and other shoppers to take advantage of the discounts.
