TechRadar picks three wireless all-in-one inkjet printers under $100, starting at $60

TechRadar reports three HP and Canon all-in-one inkjet printers under $100 on Amazon, starting at $60, aimed at light home office use.

The three models are the Canon Pixma TS6520, HP Envy 6155 and HP DeskJet 2955. According to the report, all three can print, scan and copy in color and connect wirelessly from computers and mobile devices.

The Canon Pixma TS6520 is listed at $81 in one part of the article, but the report also says it has dropped from $140.99 to $80.48. It is described as the fastest of the three and includes automatic two-sided printing. The HP Envy 6155 is priced at $89.99, down from $159.99, and the HP DeskJet 2955 costs $59.99, down from $89.99.

TechRadar recommends the DeskJet as the lowest-cost option for basic printing needs. It says the Canon model is a good middle ground for an extra $20.49, offering quicker speeds, duplex printing and a small OLED display. The Envy has the largest paper tray and a 2.4-inch color touchscreen, making it more suitable for a home office. The two HP printers include a three-month trial of Instant Ink.

In terms of price history, the Envy offers the biggest saving of $70, the DeskJet saves $30, and the Canon saves $60.51. The Canon printer was priced at $59.25 earlier this year, so today's price is not its lowest, while the two HP models have reached their lowest prices on Amazon to date, according to the report.

The report advises choosing one of these only for relatively light workloads, because they are home inkjet printers not meant for high-volume printing. Users who regularly print dozens or hundreds of pages should consider a faster printer with larger paper capacity, or an ink tank printer. It also warns that ink costs can be high, that third-party cartridges may not work with HP models due to original HP chips or circuitry, and that the Instant Ink trial converts to a monthly subscription. Automatic double-sided printing is available on the Envy and Canon but not on the DeskJet.
